Medieval Crafter - Devlog #8 - Expanded Content and Day and Night

Hey everyone,

Welcome to the eighth devlog for Medieval Crafter!

New Sell Items: I've added 13 new sell items, expanding the game's economy and crafting options. Players now have a wider range of items they can craft and sell for profit, adding depth to the gameplay loop.

 

Resource Upgrade: Players now have the option to purchase upgrades that increase the max health of resources. By default, resource max health is set to 10, but with upgrades, players can enhance resource durability, making resource gathering more efficient and rewarding.

 

Audio Enhancements: I've integrated audio effects into the game to improve immersion and feedback. Sound effects have been added to the axe, pickaxe, and hammer during crafting actions, providing satisfying audio cues. Additionally, the money bag emits sounds during sell or buy transactions, enhancing player interactions with the in-game economy.

 

Day and Night Cycle: Implemented a day and night cycle system managed by the Game Manager. The cycle spans a full 360-degree rotation of the sun over 20 minutes. Players will play for 12 hours from sunrise to sunset. At the end of each day cycle (10 minutes), resources respawn, and a new day begins with the sunrise.

These updates enrich the player experience, offering more gameplay depth, immersive audio feedback, and dynamic environmental changes.
